4 Months Young!

Owen went for his 4 month checkup on Monday. They gave him a once over and said he was doing fantastic. Then they gave him 3 shots and an oral vaccine.

His 4 month stats are:

Weight: 11 lbs. 14 oz.; 5% percentile

Length: 24 inches; 10-15% percentile

Head: 50% percentile (lots of brains...I guess!)

His doctor said she was a little worried about his weight. She thought it was because he is so active, rolling over and such...but she wanted to see more of a weight gain. He only gained a pound in one month. So, we need to "fatten" him up. Which translates to formula supplements along with breastmilk. Let me just say, I already think I see some chub after just a week of formula supplements.

Owen is doing great! He loves to be on his belly and rolls there every chance he gets. He absolutely adores his sister and watches every move she makes. He is really drooling right now, I think it is time to break out the bibs! He is really starting to giggle and SMILES at everything. Most of all, he loves being held! You can't put the boy down. I think that is because his daycare lady holds him every chance she gets. He is spoiled!

STAMPEDE!

Another funny Harper school story...
One day last week, Harper was the line leader. Since she was in the 3-year old class last year, she already knows how to walk down the hall. One arm behind your back, one finger over your mouth...stay behind the person in front of you. Well...not all of the kids in her PreK class had this enlightening experience before this year started.
As Harper is leading the students back to the classroom after being outside, she is following all procedures. However the boy behind her obviously hasn't been in this setting before. Harper is telling me this story and she says, "Mom, that boy kept trying to pass me." I said, "What did you do?" She said, "I walked faster. I tried to get around him. He was supposed to stay behind me. I was the leader." Well...I am picturing this is my head and can only see Harper WALKING extremely fast to stay in front of the boy. As they two of them are "racing" the inevitable happened next. Harper's teacher describes it as a stampede of kids. To make a long story short...all of the kids ended up running at a mad dash back to the classroom. All because Harper was trying to do her job!

Grand Alaskan Adventure

My parents had an absolutely wonderful time in Alaska on their 9-day adventure. Harper wasn't very excited that they were going to be gone that long, but the time went by fast! I know they had a wonderful time just by looking at the pictures. I know I want to go on a vacation there soon. Harper was so excited because her Grandma and Boppy sent her postcards each day while they were away. She loved hearing about their adventures! She even got to take the cards to her "Show and Tell" at school. Here are a few pics that I thought were awesome from their trip! Way to go Mom & Dad...pretty awesome pics!

Looking Back...

My camera has returned from its grand trip to Alaska. Yippee! I hope it had fun!
