February 2014

It has been 4 months since I have blogged and I am not proud of that.  But when I stop and think about the reasons why...it makes me happy!  We had a very busy Spring and have had a wonderful Summer so far.  I'm going to try and catch up with some monthly posts to get me back on track!  Enjoy!

February always brings the most fun with the annual Daddy-Daugther Dance!  It is hard to believe that when I look back at past pictures, Harper is getting so grown up.  Such a little lady!  But the cool part is, she is still her Daddy's little girl!  She and Richard danced the night away and had an absolute blast!

At times, Owen has so much energy that I never think we will be able to contain it.  At other times, he quietly gets a puzzle off of the shelf and spends time putting it together.  Puzzles were one of his favorite winter time activities at home and at school.  February also brought some great weather for him to let some of his energy expend outside also!

Happy Valentine's Day!  The month of LOVE!!!  I was so excited to get to go to both Owen's and Harper's V-day parties at school.  It is just so much fun to see them interact in their own environments with their friends.  It's like being a fly on the wall!

For both of the kids' Valentines, we opted to give out WHOOPEE cushions!  Looking back on it, I can't believe that I ever went for it.  But needless to say they were a huge hit.  Owen's class didn't get them out...but Harper's did!!!  All of the kids, parents and even her teacher were laughing hysterically as the kids delighted in the sound of the "toot."

That evening, we went on a Family Date!  Grandma and Boppy had given the kids gift cards for V-day and helped us plan our special outing.  We started off the evening at Hideaway Pizza and then capped off the fun at the Movies!!!

Owen was extra excited about all of the Tatoos he got from his friends' Valentines.  We had to put them all on.  Needless to say...they stayed on for a month!

February was also BINGO night at the kids' school.  Owen became disinterested in a matter of minutes.  But Harper stuck it out...winning a $5 Sonic gift card.  They also had a silent auction.  Harper was the proud bidder of a Movie Night with her teacher, Ms. D.  They went in April and she had an absolute blast!

We finished out the month with a trip to Kansas to celebrate Miss Cambree Jane's 8th Birthday!  It was a super fun dance party!  A great end to a great month!

Little Brother Time

As Harper has gotten older, she is starting to spend more nights with friends and playing at other people's houses.  Therefore, Daddy and Mommy get to spend more time with Owen, which is rare.  We have had a ton of fun doing arts & crafts and playing many adventurous Lego games.  Such a boy...but so much fun!!!

Pink Party Fun!

I had to post pictures of this super fun birthday party Harper attended for her friend, Karly.  The girls got to go to Chick-fil-A in a Pink Limo, then the limo took them to church and then back home for a super fun sleepover.  They made crafts and partied the night away.  Too much fun!!!

Harper's On A Roll

The Honor Roll that is!
In January, we were able to go to the morning assembly at Harper's school to celebrate her and her classmates as they received certificates for the Honor Roll.  We were so proud of Harper for earning ALL A's.  She made the Superintendent's Honor Roll!  Way to Go!!!  So proud of you!
