Well...the Oklahoma weather has hit us again. This time with almost 12" of snow and below zero temps. That translates to NO SCHOOL! This time for four days straight. Harper has been looking so forward to using our snowman kit we bought last year on the clearance rack at Target. However, this snow just isn't the best for snowmen and it is absolutely freezing outside. It was so cold on Tuesday, that we didn't even go outside. Wednesday morning, I braved the elements (two steps out on the front porch) to get a tub of snow for the kids to play with. I forgot that Owen really probably didn't remember the snow from last year. He loved playing in the bucket of snow. He just kept saying..."Snow Cold...Mommy! Cold!" Harper had a great time sculpting the snow into tons of different shapes. The both figured out that you could take a hard packed piece of snow and squeeze it until it burst...and snow went flying everywhere. Thank goodness for tile!
Wednesday afternoon, we headed over to my parents to play in the snow. We originally went over there to go sledding, but the road to the hill was impassable. Both kids LOVED playing outside. Harper made a ton of snow angels and Daddy pulled them both around on the sled (aka ski tube). It was so cold outside that we only lasted about 15 minutes. Maybe tomorrow we can get out to try and make that Snowman!
