Owen's indoor soccer season started about 3 weeks ago and he was so pumped. He has been ready to play for months and was so excited to get his team shirt and new shin guards...and even a new, bright orange soccer ball. Richard has so graciously volunteered to "wrangle" and "herd" Owen and seven of our little friends each Monday night for a 30-min, no rules soccer match.
The first night, Owen was the first one to go for the ball. He ran around like a little maniac and loved kicking and chasing the ball. He was so hilarious...he kept making this mean face and running full force to pounce on this little metal plate (that covers the volleyball net post hole). It soon became his sole purpose.
The second night and tonight, he has been much more timid. Someone has to hold his hand as he runs around and he has cried both nights. I am just hoping that we get back to the excitement of night one soon.
