A few weekends ago, on a Saturday night, we went over to spend the evening with Grandma and Boppy. We got a special surprise...we got to roast hot dogs in the fireplace for dinner! Better yet...we got to have s'mores for dessert!!!
The kids each took a turn at roasting a hot dog and marshmallow, but both said it was too hot for them. The adults, looking a little silly, finished up the cooking as the kids played. Everything was so yummy and our bellies were very full.
After that we all snuggled up by the fire and watched Dennis the Menace, the old version from when I was a kid. It is HILARIOUS!!! We all laughed a ton. Biggest fun of all...Harper and Owen stayed the night with Grandma and Boppy and they slept on a blow up bed in the living by the fire all night long! So much fun!

That would make having a fireplace ALMOST worth it! My kids would probably want to do it every night!!
