Yesterday was Harper's big day...she turned SIX! Now there is something about saying you have a five year old in Kindergarten that makes you still feel like there might be a little bit of baby left in them. However, saying that I now have a SIX year old that is going into first grade...that makes me a little sad. She really is growing up!
But boy what an outstanding girl she has become! Her favorite things right now include reading, listening to me read her Ramona books, drawing (especially people), dressing up, playing outside, shopping, completing her chore chart for quarters, and making up games for her brother to play. If she takes after her mom, she will be playing school with him in no time! :)
On Sunday night, Richard and I blew up a package of balloons and snuck into her room and left them on the floor. She was so surprised and excited when she woke up yesterday morning to find them on her floor. Last night, we skipped her tball game because she already had to go to dance after school and she really wanted to go out to eat. And she choose...Cheesecake Factory! She has been talking about going there since her last bday. She was super excited when the waiter brought out a little sundae for her and got half the restaurant to serenade her with "Happy Birthday!"
